Targeted Youth Support

Targeted youth support’s multi-agency, early intervention and preventative approach helps practitioners reduce NEET (not in education, employment or training) and associated problems – such as homelessness, teenage pregnancy and substance misuse – and starts to tackle the underlying causes of these negative outcomes.

Centring on the young person and their family, targeted youth support’s multi-agency approach – which builds on the success of existing multi-agency structures such as those supporting Every Child Matters – provides an ideal foundation on which to strengthen existing links between agencies and local strategic partnerships (LSPs).

This pack is for use with Year 11 pupils, and contains information about their post-16 options, including EMA. The pack comprises a workbook with lesson plan ideas, loose worksheets to photocopy and use with learners and the EMA DVD. You can now download or order hard copies of the pack and worksheets on the EMA website.

Common Assessment Framework (CAF)

The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) enables practitioners from different agencies to gain a shared understanding, adopt a common language and identify and respond collectively to the needs of vulnerable young people to make a positive impact on their lives.
