Online Careers advice and information

• Fast Tomato is an interactive careers guidance website for teenagers.
• Careers A-Z is the UK gateway to comprehensive, quality careers information online.
• Careers Box offers the opportunity to view videos of people talking about a wide variety of job roles.
• iCould is a new free online resource containing a library of personal stories, told to camera, by people of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of occupations. It contains 1,000s of films from firefighters, journalists, plumbers to athletes.  Each story provides links to background and support material. 
• NHS Careers may be the first port of call for any information you may need on building a future working in healthcare. The website carries regular ‘Careers in the Spotlight’ features such as ‘Working in Mental Health’, as well as an A-Z of careers in medicine, nursing, allied health professions, healthcare science, health informatics, health management, and the wider healthcare team.
• Step into the NHS offers young people information on NHS careers, videos, case studies and 'Map your Career', which through a set of questions indicates career opportunities that may be suitable for your personality.
• Public Sector Careers promotes career opportunities in the public sector. Job seekers can search a broad range of council jobs, NHS jobs, education jobs, housing jobs and charity jobs. With over 55 different public sector categories there are vacancies on the site to suit all job seekers needs.
• Ask: What if? promotes careers that have a positive impact on other people’s lives and the community they live in.

Online magazines such as those listed below can help you with your career and educational choices:

• 50:50 This magazine has a 50:50 split between important career information and raw lifestyle content. The magazine is also available as a webzine. Publication Frequency: January/May/September
• Loud Mag- information about careers, higher education and training from companies and organisations.
• Full On - an online magazine for 13 - 16 year olds with articles on vocational and academic routes.
• Next Steps - Career guide for young job seekers aged 16-24. nextSteps Magazine is available online and offers labour market information on a different industry every month.
• Spectrum - for ethnic minority students aged 16 - 19 year old
• KAL (formerly Kaleidoscope) is the careers magazine written and used by ethnic minority students and graduates.
• TEN - the top careers for women.
• Arberry Profile - opportunities for graduate with disabilities.
